Finally found bananas for the elders! bought them all–in fact, eventually bought about 200 (and they were all eaten!)

This is a great example of using a water tank to collect water from the roof, and using the height of the tank to gravity-feed the water into the building for use.

  1. J’ai quitté Kananga a la fin des années 80′s. En voyant ces photos, bien qu’elles ne prétendent pas être exhaustives, j’ai l’impression que, au lieu d’avancer, nous n’avons fait que reculer. Même l’aéroport était a l’époque autre chose que ce que je vois. Je voudrais bien souhaiter que mes yeux voient une autre localité que Kananga, mais il me semble bien que je ne me trompe pas…
